For centuries, people have been melting colored glass onto metal as decoration and adornment in a process known as enameling. This class is oriented towards giving the beginning enamelist an understanding of basic processes and a sampling of various techniques. Students will also have the opportunity to make a simple jewelry setting for a completed piece. Advanced or experienced enameling students may take the class to work on their own projects with optional teacher guidance. A materials kit is optional and available for purchase on the first day of class.
