We strongly encourage you to pre-register to ensure a space in class. Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis with a 50% deposit required. Workshops must be paid in full at time of registration. Balance is due on the first day of class. We reserve the right to make corrections to prices and discounts for registrations made through this website.


Classes are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellation begins approximately one week before the scheduled first class. Workshops and special events not meeting enrollment minimums will be cancelled two to three days before the start date. Visiting artist workshops will be cancelled at least 21 days prior to the start date. Lillstreet cannot assume responsibility for travel costs for out of town students. Please contact us to confirm workshop status before booking travel. Students will be notified if classes are cancelled and will be eligible for a full refund or class credit.

Tuition is refundable for all classes and workshops dropped more than one week prior to the session start date, minus a $40 processing fee. Classes dropped during the week prior to the start of the class session are eligible for a studio credit only (no refunds). Classes dropped during the first week of the session are eligible for a 50% studio credit (no refund). Classes dropped after the first week of the session are not eligible for a credit or refund except in cases of documented medical emergency with physician’s note. Students are responsible for notifying the lillstreet staff that they wish to drop a class or workshop. Not attending class does not constitute an official withdrawal or cancellation of tuition or fees. Creative retreats, visiting artist workshops, and summer camps have separate cancellation policies. Below, please see each class for their individual policies. 


Tuition for summer camps are refundable, minus a $40 registration for each camp dropped, if the office is notified by May 29, 2017. Camps dropped after May 29 but more than one week prior to the start date are eligible for a camp credit. Camps dropped one week or less prior to the start date are not eligible for camp credit or refund. Absences due to medical reasons will be eligible for a camp credit; please provide documentation in the form of a doctor's note or other medical record. 50% deposits for summer camp registrations are accepted until May 1. All open balances from registrations made with deposits must be paid in full by May 29. Registrations made after May 1 must be paid in full.


Custom classes and workshops that are canceled after a deposit is made will result in the forfeiting of the deposit.  If you would like to reschedule, your deposit can be held and applied to a different date.  Custom classes are not refundable.


Workshop registrants who cancel 30 days or less to the beginning of a workshop will not be refunded. A cancellation fee of $40 will be charged on all other cancellations.  We reserve the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum enrollments are not met, in which case all workshop fees will be refunded to participants. Notifications will be made two weeks prior to a workshops start date. Lillstreet Art Center cannot be responsible for airline tickets or other travel costs in the event of a cancellation. Full payment of workshop is due in order reserve a space.

Most tuition credits are good indefinitely towards any classes, workshops or gallery items and are not redeemable for cash under any circumstances. Studio credits from groupon redemptions are valid only for classes in the Digital Arts & Photography department and expire on the expiration date of the Groupon. Classes dropped during the first week of each session are only eligible for a studio credit equal to half of the full tuition cost of the class. Studio credits from late drop-outs or cancellations can only be applied to tuition. If you have quesitons, please ask when the studio credit is issued. If Lillstreet Art Center cancels a class, students are eligible for a full refund. Class credits (not refunds) are issued for classes dropped due to documented medical reasons. Camp tuition credits are valid for summer camp only and cannot be transferred or used for gallery purchases.


Lillstreet Art Center does reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. If a class is cancelled, students are eligible for a full refund.  You will be contacted at least 3 days prior to the start date of the class.  A minimum enrollment of 6 students is usually required for a class to run. Please register early to ensure your preferred class will run.


For classes that fall on holidays, it is up to the individual teachers and students to decide whether to hold the class or to schedule a make up class later in the session.


Missed classes may only be made up within the same class session, by attending another section of the same class. Please call the front desk for availabiltiy of make up classes. Missed camp days are not eligible for refunds or credits and can not be made up.


Programs are divided into skill levels:

Beginners/Advanced Beginners: Introduction to basic techniques. Classes are designed for the true novice and returning students in need of a refresher or further instruction.

Multilevel: Open to both beginners and experienced students. Classes are designed for students of all skill levels with projects appropriate for each.

Intermediate/Advanced: Development of skill and exploration of theme and content. Classes are designed for students who have completed beginner courses at Lillstreet or have a professional background and are looking for refresher courses, advanced skills and studio time. Students not previously enrolled at Lillstreet should seek the approval of the instructor before enrollment.


Students may be required to purchase a tool kit from Lillstreet or other materials in order to complete class work. Unless otherwise specified, materials will be provided for the first class session and students will receive a supply list for purchase.


Open studio time is available to all students currently enrolled in classes and usually starts the week after classes begin; please see each department for details. Times of open studio vary by department. Glass Flameworking and Fusing as well as enameling classes require an additional fee for open studio use.


By registering for this class, you grant Lillstreet Art Center permission to photograph or video your/your child's participation in Lillstreet Art Center’s education programs. You also grant Lillstreet Art Center’s permission to use your/child's likeness in a promotional capacity including but not limited to print materials, web site, print, online or out of home media and other medium now or later developed; as well as permission to share photography and video including your/child's? likeness for use by media publications and institutions that fund Lillstreet Art Center’s operations and programs.
