Empty Bowls

April 7, 2017

Lillstreet Art Center
4401 W Ravenswood

Lillstreet Art Center is proud to host its 2017 Empty Bowls benefit on Friday, April 7. Empty Bowls is an international grassroots project aimed to fight hunger. Each event is personalized by its artists and art organizations on a community level. Guests are invited to purchase a ceramic bowl, receive a serving of delicious soup, and leave with a piece of art!

Each handmade bowl has been created and donated by Lillstreet ceramic artists, and the soup is donated by First Slice.

All proceeds will benefit First Slice Pie Cafe.

First Slice Pie Cafe is a Chicago-based nonprofit dedicated to feeding the needy and hungry in our communities. They provide over 600 meals a week to folks experiencing homelessness across the city of Chicago, in partnership with organizations like Streetwise, the Night Ministry, Broadway Youth Center and Epiphany UCC. They strive to give the first, best, biggest slice of our collected efforts to people living on the margins of society.?
