What if fighting hunger were as easy as eating dinner? The Empty Bowls Project is a nationwide endeavor using ceramic arts to fight hunger, and you are invited to help support its mission.
Lillstreet Art Center is proud to host the 9th annual Empty Bowls event to benefit First Slice Pie Café and its efforts in serving nearly 4,000 meals each month to Chicago's hungry.
On Friday, April 15th, 5-8pm, guests will enjoy a special meal of soup and bread provided by First Slice Café. Each meal is served in a handcrafted bowl donated by local potters and artisans.
Each unique bowl is $25, and there is no limit to the number of bowls that may be purchased. Guests take home their handmade bowls as a reminder of their personal impact toward supporting Chicago’s fight against hunger. 100% of the proceeds benefit First Slice.
Event Volunteers Needed!
