The Drawing Workshop, founded 40 years ago by George Sotos, has joined Lillstreet Art Center as a new venue for classical instruction in drawing and painting, primarily from the figure but also from still-life and landscape. The workshop offers the perfect working environment for budding amateurs to established professionals seeking to develop a strong visual vocuablary and understanding of the three-dimensional form. Perception, the art of seeing, forms the underlying foundation of the classes offered at the workshop.
Below you will find a roster of classes being offered at The Drawing Workshop, including both drop-in figure drawing sessions and longer classes focused on specific media or subjects. The Drawing Workshop is located at 4410 North Ravenswood Avenue, on the other side of the train tracks from our main facility. The studio is a large, open work room offering a perfect setting for figure work.
